STATE AFFAIRS 23 OCT 2021 Splash 105.5 FM, 8-11am Ibadan I take the corns and put in my bag. I will eat one when I get to Orori. As I approach the forest of winds, I see Buhari sleeping on the back of a fat cow. The cow’s leg is tied to the tree dancing in the wind. My voice startles him and he wakes up fuming, berating me for coming to where I was not invited. I tell him I come in peace, that I am only going to find the beautiful child in the hill. He is surprised that the child is born. It’s a hot sun, and the canopy of the tree will help. On getting to the tree I see Tinubu sitting in a shaky chair, holding a plate of garri and groundnut. He is happy with himself, eating with relish, like a hunter eating his meal of grievance. I am surprise to see him. I thought they say no one comes to this side of the road at this time.
